Summary

Pyx is a mental-math practice app for iOS. We designed it to need as little of your data as possible. Your practice history, stats, streaks, and settings live on your device and never leave it. We do not run an analytics backend, advertising network, or tracking system.

What stays on your device

  • Your onboarding answers (goal, skill level, focus areas).
  • Every practice session, every problem attempt, and your streak history.
  • Your preferences — daily goal, reminder time, sound, haptics, theme.

This data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. A small snapshot (today's streak and goal progress) is also written to an iOS App Group so the home-screen widget can read it — that data never leaves the device. Deleting the app deletes all of it. We do not sync, mirror, or back this up to our servers, and we do not use iCloud sync — we don't have servers for it.

Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of services to run the product. Each gets only what it needs.

  • Apple App Store & RevenueCat — process subscriptions and entitlements for Pyx Pro. They receive an anonymous identifier tied to your purchase. We never see your payment details.
  • Apple Push Notification Service — daily practice reminders. These are scheduled locally on your device; no notification content passes through our infrastructure.
  • TikTok Content Posting API — used only when Pyx (the company) publishes marketing content to our own TikTok account. No data from the iOS app or its users passes through this integration.

What we never collect

  • Names, email addresses, or contact information.
  • Location data, advertising identifiers, or device fingerprints.
  • Crash reports or telemetry tied to your identity.
  • Anything covered by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

Children

Pyxis suitable for all ages but isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone — including children — for the reasons above.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly. Reset Stats in Settings wipes practice history; deleting the app removes everything. For data held by RevenueCat or the App Store, contact those providers directly to exercise GDPR / CCPA rights.

Changes

We'll update this page if anything material changes and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be flagged in the app where possible.
